David Grebby - Architectural Photographer / PR and Editorial Photographer

Architectural Photography in Newcastle upon Tyne the UK and Europe, as well as Editorial Photography throughout these regions is undertaken by David Grebby. Residential Property is an area which David has particular experience in using creative styles and techniques.

Working predominantly in the UK from his Newcastle upon Tyne base, David ensures his photography is well organised, managed and executed to consider weather conditions, lighting conditions and deadlines to briefs.

Architectural Photography is considered and planned to achieve the best results and desired style. Past experiences in this field include photographing commercial buildings and residential property.

David's photographs are shot using the 31 'mega pixel' Phase One / Mamiya system or the lower pixel sized Nikon camera system. 360º Images are shot with the Nikon System.

Commercial editorial and PR photography is shot using these camera systems depending on which is appropriate for the brief. A range of lighting is used from soft fill lighting using soft boxes (or reflective lighting) to strong directional lighting using snoots, honeycombs and dishes.

Available throughout the UK for location or studio work, and throughout Europe for location work. David ensures good turnaround times on briefs along with attention to detail and a reliable personal service.

Illustrative cityscapes and urban environments is an area in which David works within on personal projects from time to time. Newcastle upon Tyne has been an inspiration to much of his work with inspiration from buildings and structures such as The Tyne Bridge, Millennium Bridge and the recently developed areas of The Gateshead / Newcastle Quaysides. Other skylines and structures shot by David include the Humber Bridge, Liverpool Skyline and London.

David has worked within the professional photography industry for 6 years. Working with digital cameras throughout his career and shooting on a variety of formats from 6mp cameras to 31mp cameras.

David shoots images with post production methods in mind using different techniques and styles. Post production techniques in the computer have replaced some techniques on location and replaced the darkroom entirely, but the light and the control of it is still what David believes creates a good image.
